SYNOPSIS
DANTE is enjoying his 1965 senior year of high school - he’s handsome, leader of the pack and captain of the
football team. His best buddy, GUIDO, has formed a garage band, Pirates of Destiny, and begs Dante to sing with
them. A half-talent at best, Dante reluctantly agrees and rehearsals begin. His charismatic stage presence
attracts adoring fans, especially groupie MARY LUCILLE, an awkward girl that he befriends. Dante soon falls in
love with BEBE, a new arrival at Torrance High School. Jealous of Dante’s love for the angelic Bebe, Mary Lucille
sets out to sabotage their relationship.
Meanwhile, LUCIFER sends demonic creature GERYON to earth to corrupt a “special one” and then deliver him to
hell. The winged beast appears in human form as JERRY FRIEDMAN, a ruthless manager. When he sees Dante,
Jerry knows he has found Satan’s newest minion.
Jerry secures Dante’s fame, but within the limelight, Dante creates a hell of his own making. Now callous in his
pursuit of wealth, Dante is hopeful that success will earn him a future with Bebe. When their new band, Snake
Wheel, premieres in 1970, it receives mixed reviews. After a disappointing premier, Dante is furious that Bebe
never showed up to support him. Rejected and hurt, Dante seduces JADE, a beautiful new groupie.
Guido invites Dante to hear a tape of the new sound he has created for the band. By the time Dante arrives,
Guido has been poisoned and is near death. Faced with a moral dilemma, Dante takes the demo tape and lets
Guido die. He has now committed the greatest sin: murder by betrayal.
Dante finds himself transported to hell on the back of Geryon, delivered to the devil himself. Using cunning and
courage, Dante is able to finesse his way out of the center of hell and escape. He now realizes he must atone for
the sins of his past if he is ever to make his romantic dreams with Bebe come true.
